角色陣營劃分/陣營九宮格 (Alignment Chart)

  • 起源為TRPG系列《龍與地下城》中對不同的角色職業,依照各職業之行為特性所作的不同分類:
    按對人利害關係的傾向,可分為「善良(毫無保留的利他)」、「邪惡(無同情心的害人)」和「中立(對善惡兩方都缺乏認同,根據個人關係去幫人或害人)[1]
    又按對政治立場社會規則的看法分為「守序(守信在先、服從權威、絕對的集體主義)」、「混亂(自由至上、反抗權威、徹底的個人主義)」和「中立(中間路線,尊重權威但不刻意遵守或反抗)[2]
    兩組交錯成共3×3=9大陣營。
    • 第四版省略為「守序善良>善良>中立>邪惡>混亂邪惡」。
      • 第五版(D&D Next)又讓九陣營回來了,不過簡化了每個陣營的解釋,同時增加了無法理解道德的生物所屬的「無陣營」,讓陣營總數增加至十。
    • 原本是為了讓TRPG的玩家扮演角色時的個性參考。並非為了解釋各種作品裡複雜的角色們而生的學說。
      • 事實上,龍與地下城根本不歡迎玩家對陣營做深入的討論。這是個遊戲,不是哲學辯論會。[3]
      • 但是九宮格交錯的魅力讓大眾持續灌水,至今已有不少擴大解釋。
      • 最大的爭議在中立和混亂的定位上。照原本設定來看,常常遊走兩端難以捉摸應該歸中立,但這和一般人的常識有出入,在望字生義下反而會認為應該算混亂,而中立則被看成和各方保持距離的中庸路線。
      • 而嚴格來說,中立和混亂的主要分別是:混亂是崇尚自由而反對或無視法律、規則;中立是既不會主動破壞但不會積極維護法律、規則,依據環境態勢決定是否要遵守
  • 很多人不知道的是,在出處的D&D中,陣營是不因不同觀點改變的絕對值,不會因為很多人認為一件壞事是善就變成善,或認為違法的事是合法就變成合法。[4]
    • 另外Type Moon的Fate/stay night雖然有著陣營的設定,不過解釋與龍與地下城並不一樣,請不要當作參考。

  1. 有些則代表對平衡觀念的主動態度,試圖保持善惡的平衡
  2. 有少數一些中立者認為,守序與混亂這兩個極端都有本身的盲點和缺點,所以都不適當
  3. BoED(Book of Exalted Deeds)一書中提到邪惡的行為就是邪惡的,無論它可能造成什麼善良的結果,同時在全書中反覆強調這個行為主義。
  4. BoVD(Book of Vile Darkness)中提到預設規則是「客觀看待邪惡」,意即不會因為一個社群對善惡有不同的看法而改變善惡的定義。「主觀看待邪惡」屬於一種規則變體,書中同時提到使用這種規則變體將會帶來永無止境的爭論。
